The International School of Tourism Management is a federally-acknowledged higher education institution offering diversified courses in tourism studies. More than 130 lecturers impart comprehensive knowledge in both theory and practice in several courses of studies and training courses for professions requiring qualified employees. Approximately 300 students attend the IST every year and discover the wide world of tourism – from travel agencies to airlines, tourism organisations and the hotel and event businesses.
A consistent and active quality management guarantees a high level of teaching and studies. The education and training programme, which has been designed according to current insights in adult education, is organised in a module-like way.    
By networking with the tourism industry and other educational institutions, the IST opens interesting career prospects for its graduates. Well-known personalities from the fields of tourism, economy and politics support this privately-managed educational institution as expert advisories.
