Established as a private Gymnasium in 1888, Freies Gymnasium Zürich is one of the oldest private schools in Zurich and enjoys long-standing tradition. It is the pioneer of truly bilingual education and in collaboration with Lakeside School offers a German/English bilingual education programme from Kindergarten right through to the Swiss Matura examination. The house Matura of Freies Gymnasium Zürich is state recognised.
