Welcome to St. Michael's International School.

St. Michael’s International School is the only International School in the region that has been awarded joint accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). As bearer of this prestigious award, we are not only aware of the distinction and privilege of being recognised for excellence, but also of the significant responsibility that it carries. As such, we constantly strive to maintain and further develop our high standards of provision.

Since class sizes are kept small (staff/pupil ratio is on average 10:1 and 7:1 for the Nursery class) we are able to provide a highly professional and personal service and remain dedicated to realising the full potential of every student.

St. Michael’s International School provides children with an education based upon the National Curriculum for England and Wales that has been modified and adapted to the needs of our culture and environment. Our staff are mainly from the UK with a small group of staff from Australia, Newzeland, USA and Canada. We recruit our staff directly from the UK using high quality recruitment agencies.  We offer a broad and balanced curriculum with specialist teachers in P.E., Music, Art, Computers, Religious Education, Japanese, Special Educational Needs (SEN), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Library.

The school resources at St Michael’s International School are excellent and include a dedicated computer laboratory, library, art room and cafeteria that provides fully catered lunches and snacks. We have recently established a new wing in the school with state-of-the-art classrooms that are spacious, attractive and functional. We have a full-time medical doctor who takes care of all first-aid and medically related problems.

The excellent reputation of our school is well seasoned both home and abroad, spanning a period of sixty two years; we are confident that it will continue long into the future!
