The International University in Geneva is located in the heart of Europe and proposes
undergraduate and graduate degrees in the areas of business administration, communication and
media, and international relations.
The International University in Geneva emphasizes the importance of interpersonal skills such
as leadership, communication, and the ability to work in a multicultural team. These skills are
encouraged through active participation and regular presentations in class.
The multicultural student body and faculty and the dynamic environment of the University
contribute to the creation of a framework in which the students acquire global experience. The
use of experiential learning methods such as case analysis and business simulations ensures the
development of analytical skills, which are critical in today’s competitive and rapidly changing
world.
Exchange programs :
The International University in Geneva has established a strong network, developing exchange
programs with 16 accredited academic institutions worldwide. The program provides
opportunities for students from universities within the IUG network in Europe, USA, Central and
South America, Asia and the Middle East, to spend one semester at IUG and be credited at their
institution. It also allows IUG students to spend one semester at another University and receive
credits at IU
Acccreditations :
The University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs
(ACBSP). ACBSP is recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). In
addition the University is also accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business
Education (IACBE).
Ranking :
In its latest EDUNIVERSAL ranking, IUG has moved to the 5th best business school in
Switzerland. This ranking is in recognition of the University’s experienced faculty, quality
academic programs and strong international links.
Admissions :
The International University in Geneva seeks a diverse student body and encourages applications
from around the world. Admission to the University is competitive and emphasizes the
applicant’s previous academic performance and intellectual capacity. For the student’s
convenience, applications are considered on a rolling admission basis. The University has three
starting dates throughout the academic year for the undergraduate programs, September, January,
and May and four dates for the graduate programs : September, November, March and June.
