A life with fast cars

The name Foitek has been well-known in motor sport circles for half a century.
The four-time Swiss Champion (racing and sportscars), Karl Foitek, with his wife, Sonja Foitek, opened the Foitek Garage on Brauerstrasse, in Zurich, in 1962. They were agents for makes such as: Alfa Romeo, Lotus, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Maserati und Ferrari for forty years.
Karl Foitek's sons (Reto Foitek, Frank Foitek and Gregor Foitek) started to play an active part in the business from 1988.
Gregor Foitek followed in his father's racing-driving footsteps and was the Formula Three Swiss champion in 1986, driving a Dallara, whereupon he changed to Formula 3000. In 1989 and 1990 Gregor Foitek was in Formula One.
In 1999 the Foitek Family moved the business to Urdorf.
The Garage Foitek AG was taken over in 2004. The employees and Foitek family members remained with the company.
Karl, Frank, Gregor and Reto Foitek left the Garage Foitek AG in 2008.
The Foitek brothers opened Foitek Automobile AG, in Altendorf, in September 2008. Karl Foitek, with his many years of know-how, remains available to his sons as an adviser.
