It was built in 1912 as a residential palace for Dr. Walter von Pannwitz, a confidant of Kaiser Wilhelm. The style of that era has been preserved in all of its splendour, an asset which has been enhanced by the personal work undertaken by Karl Lagerfeld, and the exquisite and recent renovation of its facilities.
