Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Canada

Diplomatic relations between Armenia and Canada were established on January 31, 1992.

In January 1995 Armenia opened an Embassy in Ottawa. The Armenian Ambassador to Canada is Armen Yeganian (2011).

H.E. John Sloan is the Ambassador of Canada to Armenia (with residence in Moscow), who presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan on November 2, 2010.

The office of Honorary Consul of Canada in Armenia was opened in 1997.

The inter-parliamentary Friendship Groups function mutually in the Parliaments of the two countries.

In 2006 Canada on the legislative and executive levels recognized the Armenian Genocide.
