Orchid Press

Orchid Press, established in Thailand in 1981 as White Orchid Press, is a specialized publishing house devoted to books related to Asia—books of general interest, scholarly texts, fiction, and poetry, both new works and reprints. Our policy is to keep books in print for a number of years. Books are sold through distributors, booksellers and directly to customers around the world.

Orchid Books is a collection of well illustrated books, appealing to both the layman and the scholar, and written by specialists. Focus of the series is primarily on the arts and architecture—both secular and religious—crafts and theater of Asia.

Asian Portraits is a series on life in Asia. These biographies or life-stories throw light on extraordinary lives of unique characters who, from various vantage points, have experienced or observed the ebb and flow of history in Asia.
