British School Tehran

Our School was founded in 2000, on the site of the pre-revolutionary British School, by the British and Dutch Embassies who had seen the need to provide educational facilities for the growing expatriate population. Although originally established for the children of British and Dutch expatriates, the School now has pupils of 32 nationalities.

Our School caters for children between the ages of 4 to 13, i.e. from reception to Year 8 (Key Stages 1, 2 & 3). We also have a Nursery class. Since its foundation the School has worked to maintain the highest of standards and has regular inspections by OFSTED inspectors from the UK. The School is a member of The European Council of International Schools/ Council of International Schools and is committed to achieving its accreditation.
